Location: Ed Webb Park Upgrade - Stage 2
Project: The Ed Webb Park upgrade is bringing new life and enhanced safety to Sunshine Beach, a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike. The project is thoughtfully designed to improve accessibility, community infrastructure and landscaping. Additionally, erosion control and stormwater management will be enhanced to strengthen the park’s resilience against natural elements, helping preserve the beauty and functionality of the park for years to come.
Due to funding constraints, the Ed Webb Park upgrade will be delivered across three stages.
- Stage 1: Completed July 2024. This phase enhanced the Belmore Terrace pathway and boardwalk, creating safer pedestrian access and improved connectivity.
- Stage 2: Scheduled March to July 2025, this phase will focus on upgrades to infrastructure and improving erosion controls.
- Stage 3: Future projects will enhance park amenities and public spaces, contingent on funding and stakeholder input.
