Renew your dog registration in September to avoid a late fee

Back

Council is reminding dog owners to renew their pets’ annual registration before 5pm, September 30 to avoid a late fee.

Local Laws Manager Phil Amson said Council recently sent out renewal notices.

“It’s important to contact Council to update your details if you no longer have a dog or you’ve moved house,” Mr Amson said.

“This will ensure you’re not sent a reminder notice for a dog you no longer have. Plus, registering your dog and keeping your details up to date helps Council officers get in touch with you quickly if your pet turns up at the pound, or is found wandering.”

Registration renewals paid after 5pm, September 30, may attract a late fee.

Visit Council's website to renew dog registration and for further information.

Dog owners can also pay their annual registration renewal in person at Council’s Tewantin offices at 9 Pelican Street, Tewantin.
