Noosa North Shore Ferry Service

Ferry slider

The Noosa North Shore ferry service operates every day of the year and connects passengers from the river end of Moorindil Street, Tewantin, across to Maximillion Road, Noosa North Shore.

The ferry departs approximately every 10 minutes on a continual rotation during these times:

  • 5.30am – 10.20pm Sunday – Thursday
  • 5.30am – 12.20am Friday and Saturday

Scheduled Maintenance

Council will be temporarily closing the large ferry to conduct essential maintenance on the ferry landings. This work is necessary to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of the ferry service. Please note that during this period, only the smaller ferry will be available to transport passengers across the Noosa River.

The scheduled maintenance work on the large ferry landings is planned to take place from Tuesday, 26 November to Thursday, 28 November, weather permitting.

Operations

From late July 2024 the ferry service transitioned to a new provider, after council awarded the new contract to Divers Den Investments Pty Ltd (Entrada Travel Group).

The new service includes two new and larger capacity ferries. Tickets can be purchased online or paid by cash or card once onboard.

Follow them on Facebook for any updates to services.

Fees and charges

Council outsources the operations of the ferry service via a commercial service agreement and sets the hours of operation (see above) and fares.

This is the Noosa North Shore Landowners Concession Procedure Summary as referred to in Council's Fees and Charges register.
