Recreational Parks A - I

There are numerous recreational and skate parks located in the Noosa Shire, including the beautiful Noosa Botanic Gardens at Lake Macdonald.

Off-leash dog exercise areas 

Black Mountain

  • Cudgerie Common, Blueberry Drive, Black Mountain

    This park has a basketball hoop, two-deck combination play unit, spring toys, swing, slide, and a shade structure.

     

     

Boreen Point

    Boreen Point Field Sports and Recreation Ground, Boreen Point

     

  • Boreen Point Foreshore Park, Boreen Parade, Boreen Point

    Boreen Point Foreshore Park is located on the foreshore of Lake Cootharaba. This park has a playground with a four-deck combination, blue tongue lizard combination playground, cargo net, climbing wall, fireman's pole, hang and glide, a swing and a tunnel. This location is popular for weddings, ceremonies, and events.

     

  • Borg Park, Mango Lane, Languna Street, Boreen Point

    This park has a single swing. This park is a designated dog off-leash area. 

     

  • Buffalo Park, Urunga Parade, Boreen Point

    Buffalo Park is situated on the edge of Lake Cootharaba, a popular sailing spot, with access to the Noosa River and Noosa Everglades. The park and foreshore are wheelchair accessible with BBQ facilities and picnic tables and all are close to public amenities.

     

  • Coates Park, Coates Drive, Boreen Point

    This park has a three deck combination unit, a crawl tunnel, a honeycomb climber, pole climber, slide and a swing.

     

Castaways Beach

  • Driftwood Park, Driftwood Drive, Castaways Beach

    A small park, with a playground, a half-court basketball court, and sports ring. There is fresh water and seating with trees providing natural shade.

     

  • Flagship Park, Driftwood Drive, Castaways Beach

    This park is a nature reserve with a walking path through the middle. There is large bridge in the park that links Flagship Park to Rainbow Park.

     

  • Moonbeam Park, Moonbeam Crescent, Castaways Beach

    Half-court basketball area and a swing.

     

  • Wavecrest Park, Wavecrest Drive, Castaways Beach

    This park has a basketball court and a children's playground. The playground has a cargo net unit, rock wall climb, five-deck combination unit, hang & glide, slides, swings and a spring toy dolphin with shade sails over the playground.

     

Cooran

  • Chris Kenny Park

    This area has a skate park and basketball court.

     

  • Cooran Skate Park, Railway Road, Cooran

    Situated adjacent to Chris Kenny & Straker Park & Pony Club Grounds, it offers concrete ramps and half pipes. All grind rails have metal coping. There is ample parking and bike racks.

     

  • James McKane Lookout Park, Tablelands Road, Cooran

    This park is part of the Noosa Trail Network with BBQ facilities and shelters.

     

  • King Park, King Street, Cooran

    This area has picnic tables and a BMX dirt jump track.

     

  • Pioneer Park (Cooran), King Street Service Road, Cooran

    This playground has a three deck combination unit, climb nets, a fire pole and a swing.

     

  • Pomona Cooran Amateur Rugby League Football Club, 117 Greenridge Pinbarren Road, Cooran

    This park hosts rugby league, pony club, netball club and cricket and also has a skate park.

     

Cooroibah

  • Woodhaven Park, Woodhaven Way, Cooroibah

    This park has a children's playground with spring toys and a swing set, along with a basketball court and plenty of open space for a family game of cricket.

     

Cooroy

  • Apex Park (Cooroy), Mary River Road, Cooroy

    This park has a BMX track, skate facility, and a playground. The playground has an eight-deck combination unit, an abacus, car panel, clock panel, congo climb net, spiral slide, swing, two tunnels, a web tunnel climber and a space net.

     

  • Apex Skate Park, Maple Street, Cooroy

    Large concrete and steel skate park.  This is a multi-age, compatible playground area with open grassy areas and a naturally shaded BMX track.

     

  • Carruthers Natural Amenity Reserve, Carruthers Court, Cooroy

    This park is a natural amenity reserve and a great place for the kids to play.

     

  • Cooroy Sports Complex, Garnet Street & Mary River Rd, Cooroy

    This park has a clubhouse and field space. Motor shows, motorkhanas & development support activities are held here. There are soccer club facilities; cricket club facilities; pony club facilities; gymnastic club facilities and rugby league club facilities.

     

  • Climbing sticks and tower climb hinterland playgroundLocated in the heart of Cooroy, the Hinterland Adventure Playground is a unique nature-based, all-abilities destination designed to inspire children and adults alike.

    A pleasant open area with picnic table and seats.

     

  • RSL Memorial Park Cooroy, Corner of Kauri & Diamond Streets, Cooroy

    There is a large cenotaph located at this park.
