Noosa Council is hosting another of its popular Come-n-Try Sports Arvos for primary-aged kids to try out some summer sports to see what fun and games suits them.

Local sporting groups will be providing free fun activities in cricket, baseball, softball, Little Athletics and orienteering on Wednesday 16 August, 3.30-5.30pm at the softball fields, Noosa District Sports Complex, Butler St, Tewantin.

Community Development Manager Alison Hamblin says past Come-n-Try afternoons have been very popular with the local kids.

‘It’s really a great afternoon out and a great opportunity just to experiment with sports, in a fun and non-competitive environment. The kids have a little healthy snack before they start, and then they play for about two hours,’ she said.

‘It’s always fun, and it’s really helpful for the local groups that get a few extra signups for the summer season.’

For more information about the afternoon or to register your child/ren email their name/s, age/s and school to commdev@noosa.qld.gov.au or phone 5329 6451.
