In the business of celebrating Noosa's strengths
Council has launched a new publication series to promote Noosa as a great place to do business.
The Noosa, Good for Business e-guide promotes Noosa’s competitive advantages and attempts to leverage Noosa’s enviable lifestyle and reputation as a great place to visit.
A Taste for Noosa is the first in a series of eight industry sector profiles and promotes rural enterprise, primarily food and beverage, and reinforces the ‘Noosa, Good for Business’ message.
“Council is working hard to implement its Local Economic Plan which aims to diversify our economy and, all things considered, it’s a good time to be in business in Noosa,” said Council CEO Brett de Chastel.
“While everyone knows Noosa as a great place to holiday, these publications show the national business community what a great place Noosa is to set up shop,” says Senior Economic Development Adviser Carolyn Bullen.
“Council is keen to see diversity in the shire’s economy and plans to develop profiles for priority industry sectors including health and wellbeing, the digital economy, education, creative industries, professional services and environmental industries. We’d like these publications to go globally to promote the unique lifestyle benefits and competitive advantages Noosa offers businesses in each of these sectors.” Ms Bullen says
“You can’t sell a secret. Better marketing of Noosa’s business advantages is among the key aims of our Local Economic Plan. These publications are part of a program to help us achieve that.”
Ms Bullen said the new publications answered the community’s call for better marketing of Noosa as a business destination, and thanked the businesses who kindly agreed to be showcased.
The new publications join Council’s suite of business publications, which include the Business Assistance Guide and Noosa’s Economic Profile.
