Work has finished on Noosa Aquatic Centre’s (NAC) new gym.

Community Facilities Manager Ash Saward said Council had invested more than $100,000 in new equipment to help members like Shirley Krasnoff achieve their fitness goals.

“I really enjoy the comradeship in the gym and in the classes. The motivating environment pushes me to strive for new heights in my fitness and I go home with a sense of achievement, confidence and wellbeing,” Ms Krasnoff says.

For NAC member Penny Hearn, being able to swim, workout and take part in squad sessions and fitness classes in the one location is a drawcard.

Mr Saward said staff were excited to launch the new gym in January in time to assist NAC members who were keen to start working on their new year fitness resolutions.

“Council has simplified the NAC membership structure to make it easier and more affordable than ever for new members to make the most of the facilities on offer,” Mr Saward said.

“With our January membership sale offering no joining fee and the first month free on the NAC’s all-inclusive “Gold” membership - priced at just $18.95 a week - there’s never been a better time to get started,” he said.
