Expect delays on Noosa Drive tomorrow, November 9
Council is advising motorists heading to Hastings Street tomorrow to expect delays.
Contractors will close one side of Noosa Drive, between Halse Lane and Hastings Street, to carry out repairs to street lights.
A detour will be in place, through the ‘maze’ carpark, for motorists heading to Hastings Street from both Noosa Drive and Noosa Parade.
Council Technical Officer Craig Smit said work was likely to take between three and five hours.
“Contractors need to remove four street lights to gain access to, and replace, some water-damaged wiring,” Mr Smit said.
“Traffic leaving Hastings Street will exit via Noosa Drive as normal, as one lane will remain open.”
Traffic controllers will be on duty directing traffic.
Work will begin at 6am.
“We appreciate motorists’ patience while we carry out these repairs,” Mr Smit said.
