Nominate a local young achiever

"Nominations for the Queensland Young Achiever Awards are now open, and we want our young local achievers to be recognised,“ said Noosa Councillor, Jess Glasgow.

“This is a great opportunity to send positive messages about our young people. So consider if there is someone you know who might be a suitable candidate.”

“People up to the age of 29 are eligible. For many young people, just being nominated will be an honour."

"There are seven categories covering volunteerism, arts and fashion, online achievement, print, multiculturalism, aboriginal achievement and creating change.”

The Awards culminate in a Gala Presentation Dinner. Category winners will each receive $2,000 plus a trophy. One of the seven category winners will also be chosen as the Queensland Young Achiever of the Year and will win an additional $2,000 and a state trophy.

Nominations close on Thursday 19th January 2017. They can be lodged online at www.awardsaustralia.com.
