New online system to help Noosa traders vie for business with Council

Noosa Council has launched a new online quotation system with the aim of making it simpler for local traders to vie for business with Council.

Called VendorPanel Marketplace, the system will allow Council staff to search a list of registered traders and request quotes for specific Council goods and services up to a value of $200,000.

“Noosa Council is attempting to provide our local traders with improved access to Council opportunities, whilst improving purchasing accountability, governance and transparency within Council,” Corporate Services Director Michael Shave said.

Registering on the VendorPanel Marketplace system is completely free for local traders.

Mr Shave encourages local traders to register their business details on VendorPanel Marketplace to increase the visibility of their product to Council buyers.

To register, visit the VendorPanel Marketplace page on Council’s website.

“Suppliers will be asked to select their business category/ies and enter their details in order to be sent an invitation to join VendorPanel Marketplace. Once they receive the invitation, they simply fill out their business profile to complete the process,” Mr Shave said.

“Once registered on VendorPanel Marketplace, suppliers will be visible to Council. Council staff can then send suppliers in a particular category a request for a quote and the supplier will be notified online and are able to submit a quote within the system.”
