July 8 deadline to receive mid-year rates notice by email

To receive Council’s mid-year rates notice by email, visit Council’s website by July 8 to switch to paperless billing.

Council’s Corporate Services Director Michael Shave said receiving rates notices by email was not only convenient but better for the environment as it reduced paper use.

Switching is easy – just go to www.noosa.qld.gov.au/rate-notice-via-email

“It’s a simple process – fill out the online form, specifying the property or properties you own and the email address to be used,” Mr Shave said.

“Ratepayers who make the switch by July 8 will receive their mid-year notice by email. Those who sign-up after this date will receive their first paperless rates notice in January 2017,” Mr Shave said.

“More and more people prefer to receive their bills in digital format these days to avoid the need to keep hard copy documents. Council is pleased to assist ratepayers who wish to go paperless. It also helps Council to minimise postage costs associated with mailing notices to ratepayers.

“By registering for emailed rates notices you’ll not only enjoy the convenience of receiving your rate notice electronically but you’ll be helping the environment.”
