Co-ordination centre stands down as rain eases
4 June 2016 - 10.15am
Noosa Local Disaster Coordination Centre continues to monitor the situation but advises that the majority of rain appears to have passed now, and that there are no severe weather warnings current for the Noosa region.
There are no major damage issues to report at this point in time, and field staff will continue to attend to any situations that arise throughout the day.
In life threatening situations call Triple Zero (000) and for emergency assistance from SES call 132 500.
Motorists are reminded when entering flooded areas to avoid flooded roads. Do not cross a flooded road.
If it’s flooded – forget it.
Council’s Facebook at www.facebook.com/noosacouncil will be updated regularly with information about road closures.
Listen to local radio for regular updates about conditions and log on to the Bureau of Meteorology website for weather warnings.
