Cutting edge creativity for kids
Noosa Regional Gallery’s Afterschool Art Classes will introduce students to the rapidly evolving world of ceramics, when the eight-week, term-two program begins in May.
Guided by a qualified art professional and developed in line with the current national curriculum, the weekly sessions will explore the latest techniques in contemporary ceramics.
“Each student will produce two finished works over the course of the program: a fired and painted ceramic piece and an intricately designed, staged and photographed scene of their own creation,” says Gallery Director Nina Shadforth.
“The gallery will showcase the works at the end of the term in a pop-up style mini-exhibition, where parents will have the joy of seeing their child’s works in an art gallery.”
Bookings are now open for the Thursday sessions.
Noosa Regional Gallery’s Afterschool Art Classes are open to primary school children (6 – 12 years old).
Classes will run from 3.45pm to 5pm each Thursday from May 1 until June 19, 2016. Cost is $96 per child, materials included, discount available for siblings.
