#NoosaConnects to support local business
Next month Noosa Council presents #NoosaConnects – a free networking and information event to connect local business people with support services and programs to help their business develop and grow.
Council has partnered with Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) and the Queensland Department of State Development to deliver the event themed ‘innovation and entrepreneurship’.
Council’s Senior Economic Development Officer Carolyn Bullen said #NoosaConnects would bring together representatives from a variety of organisations and government agencies to provide people with business advice and answer questions.
“A range of topics important to business will be touched on including the benefits of mentoring programs, the importance of business planning, workplace health and safety assessments, advice on grant programs business assessments, skills development, and practical tools such innovation toolbox, templates, and webinars,” Ms Bullen said.
“It’s a great opportunity to hear what local business organisations and different levels of governments are doing to support business and innovation, including learning more about Council’s Local Economic Plan,” Ms Bullen said.
“Plus the event’s networking component is a great way for business people to meet one another and discuss opportunities to collaborate.”
The event has a networking lounge, ‘speed mentoring sessions’ and a talk by keynote speaker Tim Eldridge.
Key note speaker, Tim Eldridge, is a former Executive Vice-President and Worldwide Account Director for Saatchi & Saatchi advertising agency, and current Owner/Director of Eldridge Marketing.
“Tim will share his expertise on innovation and entrepreneurship,” Ms Bullen said.
“Tim brings a wealth of knowledge on lean start up; he is a sought-after facilitator and renowned authority on strategic marketing. We are thrilled he can join us as speaker.”
#NoosaConnects starts at 5pm, Wednesday, 16 March at The J (auditorium), 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads. Food and light refreshments are complimentary.
