Council offers paperless rates bill option

Noosa property owners can now receive their rates notices by email.

Noosa Council Corporate Services Director Michael Shave said ratepayers keen to go paperless could sign up for the email service at Council’s website.

“More and more people prefer to receive their bills in digital format these days to avoid the need to keep physical files. Council is pleased to assist ratepayers who wish to go paperless – switching is easy,” he said.

As well as cut down paper use, emailed bills provide ratepayers quick and convenient access to their rates notices, and help reduce Council’s postage costs.

“More ratepayers moving to paperless rates notices will help offset significant increases in postal service charges expected next year,” Mr Shave said.

Ratepayers can opt to receive their rates notice via email at www.noosa.qld.gov.au/rate-notice-via-email

“To receive your next rate notice electronically simply fill out the online form, specifying the property or properties you own and the email address to be used,” Mr Shave said.

“By registering for emailed rates notices you’ll not only enjoy the convenience of receiving your rate notice electronically but you’ll be helping the environment.”
