Beneath A Rising Sun author Peter Watt to shine at library
Celebrated Australian author Peter Watt will share tales from his varied life and discuss his new book Beneath A Rising Sun when he visits Noosaville Library in November.
He’s regarded as one of Australia’s most prolific and best loved authors, and Watt’s latest tome is the ninth in his hugely popular Frontier series.
Library collections and services coordinator Tracey King said the author’s style was popular with both male and female readers, and his November 13 visit to Noosaville Library would help raise funds for Movember in support of men’s health.
”Once described as Australia’s answer to Wilbur Smith, Peter Watt is sure to be a crowd pleaser,” says Ms King.
“A volunteer fire fighter for the NSW Rural Fire Service in his spare time, he’s also been a soldier, a real estate salesman, a police sergeant and private investigator.
“Peter Watt is a delightful story teller, and his personal story is likely to be just as interesting as the novels he’s famous for,” Ms King said.
“This event will fill up fast so act quickly to reserve a place.”
Ms King said the function was a Movember event and would also feature a talk by a Sunshine Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group representative. $1 from the $9 entry fee will support Movember.
The Movember Foundation is a global charity committed to helping men live happier, healthier, longer lives.
Peter Watt will speak at the Library on Friday, 13 November, from 6.30pm. For more information, and to book, phone (07) 5329 6555 or visit www.libraries.noosa.qld.gov.au Payment to be made at the door.
