Tips and tricks for successful grant writing

Back

Council is offering local community groups helpful advice on ways to secure grant funding.

An information session next Wednesday will guide community, sporting and not-for-profit groups in making the most of the many grant funding opportunities readily available.

“We’ll explain the ins and outs of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and Noosa Council’s grant funding programs,” says Noosa Council Community Development Coordinator Alison Hamblin.

“This session will be a great way to find out about a range of funding sources, hear about crowd funding, and learn about what to include in grant funding applications, and how to write them, in order to achieve a successful result.”

Guest speakers from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund will join Council community services staff in answering any questions on the night.

The session will be held next Wednesday, 29 July, from 6pm at Noosa Council, Pelican Street, Tewantin.

No RSVP required. For more information please contact Council’s grants officer via grants@noosa.qld.gov.au or on (07) 5329 6500.

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund returns to the community a portion of state revenue raised through gambling taxes.
