Signs and street numbers to clear up Wallace Park confusion

Locating the many community services and organisations within the Wallace Park Precinct is set to get easier.

Each of the facilities will gain individual street numbers, and new signage will be installed at the entrance to the precinct to clear up confusion.

Council last night endorsed a staff recommendation to assign each of the facilities and organisations within the precinct an individual Wallace Drive street address.

Council will provide this information to map providers and organisations such as Google.

“Until now many of the facilities have shared the same Eumundi-Noosa Road address, which has led to a degree of confusion,” Noosa Mayor Noel Playford said.

“Formal individual addresses will help emergency services locate each of the premises in the Wallace Park Precinct, and new entrance signage will help visitors find facilities such as Noosa Leisure Centre and Noosaville Library from Eumundi-Noosa Road.

“It’s not a major change but it stands to make a big difference in the event of an emergency, and for anyone trying to find the many popular facilities within the Wallace Park Precinct.”
