Peregian Beach locals have their say

More than 200 locals had their say at the Peregian Beach surf club last Saturday morning.

They were submitting their views on ideas concerning future plans for the village, parking and pedestrian issues, the foreshore, the Rufous Street precinct and Di Hirst Oval and surrounds.

Noosa Council hosted the event with planning staff and Councillors on hand to answer questions.

Nicholas Wellwood, Infrastructure Planning and Design Manager said: “Participants could also have their say by submitting written comments at each of 10 table displays that focused on key areas up for discussion.

“We were delighted at the enthusiasm this community clearly has for future planning and believe we have captured some very useful ideas.”

Locals can continue to have their say online by visiting http://yoursay.noosa.qld.gov.au/peregian-your-say until Wednesday, May 20, when the consultation period closes.

Council will then collate and analyse the results before deciding on planning priorities and actions.
