Workshop invite for under-18s photo comp entrants
Time is running out to enter the Living Smart Landscape and Wildlife Junior Photography Competition for a chance to win up to $250 worth of camera gear.
Noosa Council Sustainability Officer Emma Menzies said under-18s planning to enter the competition were also invited to attend a junior photography workshop to be held at Noosa Library on 15 May.
“Places are limited so act quickly. The workshop is free and a great opportunity for budding young photographers to learn new skills, tips and tricks to enhance their photos, ahead of the competition’s closing date,” Ms Menzies said.
The Living Smart Landscape and Wildlife Junior Photography Competition aims to boost under-18s’ awareness of our natural environment, its significance and beauty.
To enter, just submit a picture of:
- Native local flora and fauna - plants, flowers, animals and birds.
- Native local insects and spiders.
- Natural local landscapes, including waterways.
First prize is a $250 Camera House voucher, for the 12-17yrs category, and a $200 voucher for the under-12s category. Entry is restricted to under-18s.
