Explore your love of art as a Gallery volunteer

If you have a love of art and enjoy helping others consider becoming a Noosa Regional Gallery volunteer.

With National Volunteer Week upon us, now is a great time to join Noosa Regional Gallery’s 2015 volunteer team.

Volunteers help deliver a wide range of events and workshops through to reception and retail in the Gallery Gift Shop.

“We value our volunteers and we couldn’t deliver some of our programs and services without their help,” said Noosa Regional Gallery Director Nina Shadforth.

As well as being first to hear about upcoming exhibitions and events, volunteers enjoy invitations to gallery functions.

“There are many ways people can get involved,” Ms Shadforth said.

“We need helpers for monthly family day events, school holiday workshops, after-school art classes as well as gallery tours and just helping out greeting our visitors and answering inquiries.

“All volunteers receive training and it’s a great way to develop networks and make new friends,” Ms Shadforth said.

Noosa Regional Gallery is located on the ground level of the Noosa Council Chambers at Tewantin, overlooking Noosa River. It is popular with tourists and art lovers and the Gallery attracts a wide spectrum of visitors.

“The Gallery has a busy exhibition program with two seasons allowing for new shows to be hung every six weeks.”
