Community Grants Program opens today

Back

Council’s new-look community grants program is open for applications from today.

Eligible community groups, that need financial assistance, can apply online until noon, 31 March, 2015

Council will host free information sessions to assist community organisations keen to apply.

There is no need to RSVP. Come along to learn more about the grants available.

Sessions will be held at Cooroy Library at 5.30pm on Tuesday, 17 February; at Noosaville Leisure Centre at 5.30pm on Wednesday, 18 February and; at Noosa Council, Tewantin at 9.30am on Tuesday, 24 February.

The grants are delivered across four key funding programs.

Community Projects Grants – to fund events, programs and building works or essential infrastructure – will be allocated through a competitive assessment process twice a year.

Annual Operating Costs grants provide eligible, not-for-profit groups with contributions towards various recurring operational expenses.

The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is delivered in conjunction with the Queensland Government.

Three-Year Maintenance Agreements, which are by invitation only, offer longer-term support for eligible community organisations that utilise halls, centres and sports fields.
