Local children, their parents, and library staff will join seniors to celebrate the fact that Seniors Week and Children's Book Week coincide.
With the theme of Connect to Reading: Reading to Connect, the cycle of both reading and life is celebrated as the young children and experienced elders spend time telling their stories.
The toddlers will join the morning activities regularly scheduled for the seniors, read and sing their usual rhymes and songs, and then share a little morning tea.
The storytelling sessions will be held at Noosa Day Respite Centre on 19 and 21 August, and at the CWA Hall in Cooroy for the Cooroy Share and Care members on 27 August.
