Fusion for the good life, Indigenous, teens and kids
Cooroy Mill Place Precinct has focused on workshops for living a good life, Indigenous storytelling, teen activities and fun for the kids as their contribution to Cooroy Fusion on 10 May.
If you're interested in growing good health, living yoga, Tai Chi, orchids, or how to build the ultimate sustainable house, visit the Cooroy library.
Have you always wanted to hear local Indigenous stories, or join in learning local Gubbi Gubbi words, song and dance?
Visit the Butter Factory Arts Centre to hear how Indigenous locals Lyndon Davis and Brent Miller revitalised local canoe-building techniques to bring the first traditional bark canoe to the area's waterways in 150 years.
Check out what our local talented teens have to offer, with Noosa District High students exhibiting their own documentaries, Claymation and promo films at the library, and the proud Year 9's showing off their pottery at the Butter Factory.
Teens can also get online, visiting the library to create their own online digital game through Scratch 2.0.
For the kids there's an environmentally-themed circus performance of Bazil and Grumble, Kindermusik, and Lego to keep them entertained throughout the day.
While you're at the Butter Factory, let your kids get their faces painted and play with some hands-on art activities while you check out the artist markets.
There's something for everyone, with the full precinct Fusion program available at www.cooroyfusionfestival.com.au. Make sure you book for workshops at www.libraries.noosa.qld.gov.au.
