Go paperless by February 16 for a chance to win an iPad
Council is reminding ratepayers to sign up for electronic billing by February 16, to go into the running to win an iPad.
Almost 20% of Noosa property owners now receive their rate notice electronically by email or BPAY View.
“We’re encouraging more people to go paperless, and we’re happy to assist,” Council’s Corporate Services Director Michael Shave said.
“Nowadays many people find it more convenient to receive their bills digitally, plus it’s better for the environment as it reduces paper use and printing.”
To go paperless, sign up via Council's website.
Mr Shave said payment was also soon due on the rates notice issued in January.
“To qualify for the 5% discount on the general rate, remember to pay by the February 16 due date,” he said.
Council offers ratepayers a variety of payment options:
- BPAY.
- Online.
- Credit card by phone.
- Over the counter at any Australia Post office.
- In person at Council’s Level 2 Counter, 9 Pelican Street, Tewantin.
- By direct debit, either via a total deduction on the rates due date or regular periodic deductions. If you have not already made arrangements to pay by direct debit an application form is available from Council’s website.
Ratepayers who have not yet received their rate notices should contact Council on (07) 5329 6500 to check their postal address and request a copy notice.
