Rates discount period extended

Noosa Council has extended its early bird rates discount deadline to close-of-business Monday, 23 February, in light of severe weather.

“Given the weather we’re facing, we don’t want anyone rushing into Council to pay their rates over the counter in order to make today’s payment discount deadline, so we’ve extended it to Monday,” Council CEO Brett de Chastel said.

“It’s important Noosa residents avoid unnecessary travel in the current weather and remember – if it’s flooded, forget it.

“Rates payments can be made over the counter and via other payment methods, until close of business Monday to receive the 5% discount off the general rate.”

Noosa Council offers a variety of payment methods including:

BPAY – from debit account only
Online at www.noosa.qld.gov.au
Credit card by phone
At any Australia Post office
In person at the Level 2 counter, at the Pelican Street, Tewantin office
By direct debit, either via a total deduction on the rates due date or regular periodic deductions.

Credit card payments attract a 0.50% surcharge.
