Noosa Community Care's Farm Fun Day a hit
Noosa Community Care clients were entertained by a host of cuddly creatures today at the centre’s Animal Farm Fun Day.
Ducks, lambs, chickens and goats were among the pint-sized special guests who were well-received by clients of all ages.
Deputy Mayor Bob Abbot, who attended the farm day, said: “This service has been doing a fine job for many years and today’s event is all about giving our clients an enjoyable day and letting the community know about the services available”.
Noosa Community Care’s Coordinator Greg Tucker said more than 100 clients used the centre’s services from week to week.
“People know that we are a respite centre for frail and elderly people and younger people with disabilities, but often they don’t realise that we have clients for a range of allied health services,” he said.
These include physiotherapy, speech pathology, podiatry, as well as social support which assists clients with tasks such as shopping and transport.
“Noosa Community Care has been operating in Noosa for 21 years, we provide many services and we always welcome the opportunity to inform the community about the many services we provide,” Mr Tucker said.
