Council’s property and stormwater-as-constructed search system moves online

Requesting property or stormwater-as-constructed searches is now faster and easier in Noosa.

Residents and businesses can request these searches online as Council continues to deliver on its promise of greater efficiency with a customer focus.

The online system, configured in-house using existing software, went live last week and promises to cut the time taken to prepare property searches by more than 900 hours annually, delivering a faster turn-around time for the Noosa community.

"Council staff process more than 3000 property and stormwater-as-constructed search requests each year, with multiple departments involved under the old paper form system," said Justin Thomas, Manager ICT, Corporate Services.

"The online portal provides the community with a direct link to Council's existing electronic systems, meaning less handling and greater efficiency.

"The online system is open all hours so residents can lodge search requests 24 hours a day."

To lodge a search request select ‘Online Services' under ‘Quick Links' on Council's website (www.noosa.qld.gov.au) and select the ‘Submit an Application' link and follow the prompts.
