Council has also given approval in principle to a landmark project that will result in 2,400ha of land within Yurol and Ringtail State Forests transitioning to National Park over a period of 10 years. This will secure an important hinterland to coast vegetation corridor that will help protect and enhance Noosa's koala population and many other significant fauna and flora species.
See the Yurol and Ringtail Project page for more information.
